BAA Half, Salem, and Tufts 10k

We had quite an eventful weekend. Saturday we did some shopping for Halloween costumes and our Halloween party, and also did some much needed relaxing. Even Miss Bethany relaxed (for 15 minutes). Sunday, Ryan ran in the BAA Half Marathon, while Bethany went along the course and played the roles of photographer and spectator. After the race, we took a nice little ride out to Salem to partake in some Halloween-related festivities and drink some pumpkin beer. Bethany and her friend Leigh ran in the Tufts 10k for Women on Monday, when it was Ryan's turn to play photographer and spectator.

Pre-race, Ryan sporting the Team MGD 64 gear. (Great-tasting light beer, and perfect for all you calorie-conscious athletes out there.)

The start line.

Ryan chugging along, coming back from the Zoo.

Post-race. Didn't hit the goal he was hoping for, but a PR nonetheless, and a 6-minute improvement on last year's BAA half time. Ended up crossing the line in 1:47:01.

Made some friends in Salem.

Coming around the corner, close to mile 6, still looking strong!

That's all for now. Hopefully we will have some PR news coming next week after Bethany's Bay State Full and Ryan's Bay State Half. We'll see how it goes! Check back next week!

Did you walk or run you race, Beth? I'm doing the Dartmouth YMCA 10K on Saturday with Phil - our first race :)
