Honeymoon Race #1: Pineland Farms Trail 50Km

The day after the wedding, we drove up to Maine to meet some friends the night before our favorite ultra, the Pineland Farms 50km. We did this race last year and loved it so much that we knew we'd come back even though it was scheduled two days after our wedding. (Yes, we made matching 'Just Married' shirts.)

The race director is AWESOME. We had met him last year, and seen him at other races throughout the course of the year and we told him our story, how we were getting married right before the race and then driving up for it. He surprised us with this huge wedding cake with our photo on it, and he also had us interview with the local news. (link here: http://www.wmtw.com/video/28063576/detail.html) Also, a HUGE thanks to race sponsor Merrell, who gave us such a nice wedding present!

Post-race with our finisher's cowbells. We had so much fun, we just took it easy and ran with some friends who had come up to run the race with us and continue the wedding celebration.

This shows just how big the cake really was.

WEDDING PICTURES!!!

Hi everyone! We are back from our honeymoon! It was amazing! We had so much fun and both of our races went really well. I will try to post everything in order as it happened. First off, the wedding! I pulled these pictures off Facebook so the quality might not be the greatest. The wedding was May 27th and it was a beautiful HOT day! I felt so calm all day! I was petrified about walking down the aisle but it wasn't bad at all! :-) Enjoy the pictures!!!
These are some of the place cards that I made for each table. Each table was a different race with corresponding bib numbers. And yes, I even punched holes and put tiny safety pins in them!

Walking down the aisle with my dad. It really wasn't that bad. I just smiled and kept looking at Ryan and no one else.

Exchanging the rings. Neither one of us cried at all the whole mass. I did have 2 giggles though.

This car belonged to my grandparents about 60 years ago. It is the car they bought when they got engaged.

The cake. We were nice to each other, no smashing cake in face.

I will post more wedding pictures when we get them. Next we will post about our honeymoon race #1, Pineland Farms 50k, some of you may have already seen the pre-race interview with the local news.
